How i-SENS, Inc. handles the personal data you submit through this site.
Last updated 20 August 2026
This notice explains how i-SENS, Inc. handles the personal data you submit through the registration form on this site. It applies only to this congress site. Data you provide through the CareSens Air app or an i-SENS account is covered by a separate privacy notice.
1. Who is responsible for your data
i-SENS, Inc. (registration no. 210-81-29428), a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Korea, with its principal place of business at 43 Banpo-daero 28-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul 06646, Korea, acts as the data controller.
2. Data protection officer
i-SENS has appointed Bird & Bird DPO Services SRL as its Data Protection Officer. You can reach the DPO at:
- Email: DPO.i-Sens@twobirds.com
- Post: Bird & Bird DPO Services SRL, Avenue Louise 235 b 1, 1050 Brussels, Belgium
3. What we collect
Only what the registration form asks for:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Clinic or workplace
- Registered prescriber number
- Country of practice
- The declarations you tick, including whether you opt in to marketing email
We do not ask for health data on this site, and the form is not intended for patient information.
4. Why we process it, and on what basis
- To allocate and confirm your workshop place — processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an arrangement with you, and to pursue our legitimate interest in running the session.
- To verify that you are a healthcare professional — the prescriber number and your declaration allow us to restrict this session to those entitled to attend. This rests on our legitimate interest in complying with the rules that govern promotion of medical devices to healthcare professionals.
- To send you marketing and educational material — only where you have ticked the optional consent box. This rests on your consent.
5. Who receives it
- i-SENS GmbH, our subsidiary in Germany, for customer service in the EU.
- IT service providers engaged to operate and back up our infrastructure, under contracts that limit them to processing on our instructions.
- Auditors, lawyers, regulators, and public authorities where we are required to disclose.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Your data is transferred to i-SENS, Inc. in the Republic of Korea. The European Commission has recognised Korea as providing an adequate level of protection. Where any other transfer outside the EEA takes place, it is made using the standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission. To request a copy of the relevant transfer mechanism, write to privacy_cs@i-sens.com.
7. How long we keep it
Registration data is kept for as long as it is needed to organise the workshop and follow up afterwards, and is deleted or anonymised within six months of the close of the congress. Where you have consented to marketing email, your contact details are kept until you withdraw that consent.
8. Your rights
You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we process your data and to access it; to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed; to have your data erased; to receive it in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transfer it elsewhere; to have processing restricted; and to object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
To exercise any of these, contact the DPO at DPO.i-Sens@twobirds.com.
9. Withdrawing consent
Where we rely on your consent, you are free to refuse it and to withdraw it at any time, without adverse consequences. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
10. Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the EU Member State of your residence, your place of work, or where the matter you are complaining about took place.
11. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.
